Judge Henry’s Leadership

The Knowledge and Experience We Need in a Judge
Judge Henry’s broad experience as an attorney, and later as judge, have equipped him with the deep knowledge of the law that is necessary to handle the variety and complexity of cases that come before his bench. With a proven record of fair and responsible decisions, Judge Henry has worked hard to uphold the law, be tough on crime, and keep our community safe.

Making the Court Accessible for Hays County Citizens
Many of the cases that come before the 428th District Court are civil and family cases. Judge Henry established a civil-only docket to allow citizens quick access to the court for these matters without having to wait behind a criminal docket.

Upholding Justice, Tough on Crime
In our court system, a citizen is innocent until proven guilty. Since his early years as a prosecutor, Judge Henry has had a passion for justice. Every person deserves a fair and impartial hearing, but persons found guilty of crimes should be held responsible for their actions. Judge Henry is unafraid to be tough on criminals. He also worked to develop a drug court program to better monitor drug probationers, providing immediate consequences when probation is violated and offering offenders a better chance for rehabilitation.

Using Tax Dollars Wisely
As a public servant, Judge Henry believes that the tax dollars should be handled with respect, well managed, and spent wisely. As judge, he has worked hard to streamline operations in the courtroom and provide fair but swift trials.
